V8 Supercar Driving Thrill by from Red Letter Days

Pushing out over 400bhp and prepared to full FIA race specification, this beast includes a full roll cage, racing seats and six point race harness - welcome to the 5.7 litre, V8 Vauxhall Monaro. You'll start off with a short briefing from your qualified instructor, who will talk you through racing lines and track driving techniques. Next your instructor will drive you round the circuit in a sports saloon for two miles of familiarisation laps, to demonstrate the racing lines. Then you'll take the driving seat of the six speed, 160 mph V8 Monaro. You'll drive the car for six miles in total around the thrilling Rockingham race circuit, before finishing with a question and answer session and collecting your certificate.

Availability: Selected Thursday, Saturday or Sunday dates throughout the year. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend you book several weeks (at least six) in advance.Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for around an hour and forty five minutes, including briefing, driving time of around 15 minutes in the V8 and de-brief. Please arrive up to 25 minutes in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start.Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There might be other vehicles on the track at the same time as you (if you're lucky you'll experience some awesome overtaking).Spectators: Friends and family are welcome and there are excellent spectating and catering facilities on site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs.Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided, or you can bring your own if you have one (which will be tested for safety).Guidelines: The race circuit is MSA (Motor Sports Association) approved for quality and safety. The organiser was established in 1978 and is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers' Schools. All instructors are ARDS qualified.Restrictions: Min age 18. Max weight 20 stone.
