Kick off with a briefing before your instructor drives you on some training laps in a hot hatch to learn racing lines and circuit driving techniques. What you do next depends on the venue - at Donington Park or Three Sisters circuit, drive seven miles in a Ferrari 360, followed by three miles in a hot hatch and ten miles in a single-seater racing car (23 miles). At Prestwold Hall, drive four laps each in a Ferrari 550 and F360 Spider (16.2 miles). At Croft drive three laps in a Porsche Cayman, four laps in a Ferrari 355 plus five laps in a single-seater (28.8 miles). At Rockingham drive an F360 for six miles on track and a single-seater for another 20 minutes. At some venues, finish with a high-speed passenger ride.

Availability: Donington Park, Prestwold Hall or Three Sisters Circuit: weekdays and limited weekends. Croft: selected weekdays March to November or December. Rockingham: selected Saturdays. Weekends are always busy, please book at least six weeks in advance.Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice, heavy rain or high winds, when driving at speed might become dangerous.Duration: You'll be at the venue for between three and four hours in total, including briefing, safety guidance, 30 to 40 minutes driving time and de-brief.Numbers On Day: Your briefing will be shared. All in-car tuition is one-to-one except for the demonstration laps, where up to two other people may be in the car with you.Spectators: Spectators are welcome. A camera will come in handy. All venues offer good facilities for spectators and drivers. Dogs are not permitted.Dress Code: Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and narrow, flat-soled shoes, as the pedals in these cars can be close together. Wear natural fibres like cotton, rather than synthetics like nylon.Guidelines: Donington Park was a Grand Prix circuit in the 80s, now returned to its former glory. Rockingham and Prestwold Hall are all fast and challenging circuits. Three Sisters and Croft circuits are great courses for those in the north.Restrictions: Restrictions vary by venue, but as a guide the minimum age is 18, the maximum weight is 18 stone, the minimum height is 5'2'' and the maximum is 6'2'' to 6'3''.
