Recreate the thrill of early air travel with a flight in one of Britain's best loved pre-war aircrafts, the De Havilland Dragon Rapide biplane. Taking off from the Imperial War Museum Duxford, you'll fly south to London, enjoying magnificent views from 1,500 feet. First the Millennium Dome appears on the horizon, followed by London's famous skyline. You'll get wonderful views of the capital's landmarks, including Canary Wharf, St Paul's Cathedral, the royal parks and palaces and the meandering Thames. After the flight you'll get free entry into the Imperial War Museum (and half price entry for any guests). It's Europe's premier aviation museum, spread over 85 acres and housing classic planes like Spitfires, a B17 and the prototype Concorde.

Availability: Most Saturdays and Sundays from March to October (weather permitting) as well as some selected Wednesdays (excluding 14 July - 12 September as no fly zone due to the Olympics).Weather: Flying is a weather dependent activity. It is essential that you call the venue after 8.30am on the morning of your flight for a weather check before you set off.Duration: Your flight will last for approximately one hour and 10 minutes. Please ensure you arrive 15 - 30 minutes before your allotted flight time or call the venue if you are delayed.Numbers On Day: There will be a maximum of six other passengers on board. The museum is very popular and can get busy on summer weekends and school holidays.Spectators: Visitors are welcome and offered half price entry rates to the museum. Please note that all spectators have to enter the museum to watch you take off. There's no shelter outside, so bring a brolly if it's raining.Dress Code: Sunglasses are recommended all year round. If you have a camera and/or a pair of binoculars, bring them along.Guidelines: Regulations set out by the Civil Aviation Authority can affect your rights in the unlikely event of an accident - full details are available from the venue. Take your booking confirmation letter with you on the day in order to participate.Restrictions: Maximum weight is 20 stone each and minimum age 16.
