Camel Riding for Two by from Red Letter Days
You'll start off with some refreshments and a welcome brief before you go and meet the camels. After saying hello and having a chance to get used to them, you'll be shown how to put a bridle and a saddle on your camels. Then you and your trusty steeds will head out on a peaceful ride through lovely countryside, accompanied by instructors. Camels are friendly and inquisitive, and each has its own quirky personality, so we're sure that you'll make new pals. Your camels will be led at all times by an instructor and you'll also learn a bit about their history and habits. At the end of your trek you can reward your camel with a groom and a feed and then enjoy a glass of champagne with some strawberries before you say goodbye.
Availability: One selected weekday or weekend date per month throughout the year except December (as the animals are often prebooked with Christmas work).Weather: The experience generally goes ahead in conditions other than heavy rain and where ground and/or grass is muddy. You will be contacted if a late cancellation proves necessary due to inclement weather. Duration: Your experience will last for three hours in total.Numbers On Day: There'll be up to four people taking part, plus instructors.Spectators: You are welcome to bring up to two guests to join you on the walk.Dress Code: Wear good walking shoes or trainers. Bring sunscreen in hot weather and waterproofs in rainy conditions. Safety hats will be provided.Guidelines: Please note, this is a no-frills outdoor experience.Restrictions: Minimum age is 16.
