Introductory Subaru Impreza Rally Driving for Two by from Red Letter Days

Subaru's Impreza is one of the best-loved rally cars in the sport: a turbo-charged 4WD marvel that's just made for kicking up gravel as you slide into a bend. With 280bhp under the bonnet, the Prodrive 'Group N' Subaru Impreza is perfect for learning the skills of rally driving, leaving the M25 a distant memory. After a full safety briefing, you'll learn all about skid control, power slides and handbrake turns on a purpose-built rally stage. During two demo laps, you'll familiarise yourself with the loose-surface rally stage and the Impreza. Then you'll slide over into the driver's seat for three hair-raising driving sessions. The experience ends with lunch and a certificate presentation.

Availability: Selected Saturdays and weekdays around three times a month throughout the year. Dates fill quickly - book at least six weeks in advance.Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like flooding, which would make driving at speed dangerous. You must call the venue a day in advance to check final arrangements.Duration: Your experience will last for up to five hours from sign on to debrief. Sessions take place in the morning and afternoon, subject to availability. Please arrive a few minutes prior to your booked start time.Numbers On Day: There will be a maximum of six people per instructor. All in-car instruction will be one-to-one. There may be other rally activities taking place on the day.Spectators: Up to two spectators are welcome for £10 each, which includes lunch and refreshments. This must be booked and paid a minimum of seven days in advance, direct with the venue.Dress Code: Dress comfortably and warmly, and wear a long-sleeved shirt, long trousers and flat, thin-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Any other special clothing you need will be provided.Guidelines: Extra high-speed passenger rides can be purchased on the day, subject to availability.Restrictions: Minimum age is 17.
