After a short briefing from your qualified instructor on racing lines and track driving techniques, you'll be driven around the circuit for four miles of familiarisation laps. Then take the wheel of the Lotus Elise for nine thrilling miles and find out why this car commands such respect. With your heart still pounding, finish with a question and answer session and certificate presentation.
Availability: Occasional Saturdays at Rockingham, selected weekend and weekday dates in Lancashire and weekdays only in Derbyshire. Dates fill very quickly, so we recommend you book several weeks (at least six) in advance.Weather: Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, ice, heavy rain or high winds) which would make driving at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.Duration: Expect to be at the circuit for up to an hour and a half, including your briefing and time driving the Lotus Elise. Please arrive in advance of your booked time to ensure a prompt start.Numbers On Day: All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis. Briefings are held in groups of up to 30 people. There will be other vehicles on the track at the same time as you.Spectators: Spectators are welcome and there are cafe/clubhouse facilities on site. Please note that animals are not allowed at the circuit, with the exception of guide dogs.Dress Code: Dress comfortably (e.g. jeans and sweatshirt), avoiding nylon clothing and wear trainers or flat-soled shoes. A helmet will be provided.Guidelines: The Racing School is a founder member of The Association of Racing Drivers' Schools and all their instructors are ARDS qualified.Restrictions: Min age 18, max weight 18 stone.
