The Simpsons: Hit
Simpsons hit and run was a purchase made by my sister as for some reason she has a liking for games that involve cars and racing and so she was very excited when she saw that hit and run was coming out. We had previously got Simpsons road rage which was fun to play because we could play together and so we weren't always sat there with one watching the other, so we were excited to give this game a go too.
Simpsons hit and run is set in Springfield (obviously) and you start off in the Simpsons residence much like in road rage, however in this game the gameplay is something different. Each level of the game is character driven, for which we you take the roles of Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu. There are 7 levels in total and each centralizes around a different area of Springfield so in no time at all you will know your way around Springfield like the back of your hand.
Within each level there are 7 missions that need to be completed, if you are able to complete the 7 missions then you are able to complete the bonus mission, there are various Springfield residents around the place from which you are invited to join a street race. The general plot of the game is that there is some kind of conspiracy going on , as there are lots of strange goings on which you will discover as you work your way through each level, the first of which you encounter are these scary looking giant wasps with cameras, which if you attack you get a handy treat.
If you liked Simpsons road rage then you'll like this as the graphics have improved somewhat. The tasks are mostly carried out in the car but you are free to move about and explore in or out the car and you are able to venture into buildings and you have more costumes and vehicles to use too. This is a must buy for Simpsons fans.
