This is the DVD of the very first series of Bill Lawrence's Scrubs, the sitcom that follows young medial intern JD and his best friend Turk through their early months of their time at Sacred Heart Hospital. In other words, this was the start of the magical, long running television show! If you are an avid Scrubs fan then you cannot be without this DVD.
The series one DVD does not only contain a great group of episodes but also a great selection of extras, which on their own are worth money themselves! The extras include many episodes containing audio commentary from Bill Lawrence, Zach Braff and Neil Flynn, which at times are priceless. There are also numerous interviews with the cast members, with each of them giving their opinions on the first series. In addition to that, there are also some crazy and hilarious outtakes that you shouldn't miss.
However, the main focus of the DVD is the 24 episodes. These episodes are excellent throughout. The early episodes manage to give you a feeling of all the characters which enables you to be empathetic towards their toils. Personally, I think the best part about series one of Scrubs is the ability of it to show you how all the characters evolve throughout the series, with JD, Turk and Elliot starting as 'baby' interns yet growing and evolving to competent and confident young doctors by the final episode, My Last Day.
This particular series of Scrubs again contains many emotional roller coasters which will have you in stitches one minute, on the edge of your seat the next and by the next minute you will be watching with a single tear dropping down your face.
In my opinion, it is imperative that all Scrubs fans own this DVD, so you can enjoy the comical goodness of Bill Lawrence's Scrubs any day of the year! Even for anyone who has never watched scrubs before, this is a great DVD to get a feel of the programme and to get hooked on the entertainment that it provides.
