After my ageing Nokia 6200 finally floundered and ceased functionality, I was in search of a new Nokia phone on 02, and I had a relatively tight budget. I came across the Nokia 5300 Xpress Music, at first I was sceptical at what was being offered for the price but since my purchase I have been extremely pleased as this provides extremely good value for money.
The Nokia Xpress 5300 is a dedicated music mobile phone, and this is the main selling point of the phone. However, the mobile phone also contains many of all the modern features of a mobile phone that you would come to expect.
Boasting a 1.3MP digital camera, you can take pictures to your pleasure with this phone, which is incredibly easy, especially in landscape mode. The picture quality is extremely crisp with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024.
The Nokia 5300 also has a beautiful 262K colour TFT screen, which is beautiful to the many other screens in a similar price range.
If you ever wanted to connect your Nokia 5300 to your computer or another mobile phone then many options are provided, such as Bluetooth, Infa-Red and also using the included USB Cable. The USB Cable is extremely handy as your computer will recognise your mobile phone as an MP3 player, so you can immediately synchronise your phone with your media player.
Now to the most important feature, the music functionality. This feature is an absolute gem. The music player is extremely modern and easy to use, with many different options provided to shuffle and sort your music. The sound quality the phone provides is also next to none and prepare for the Nokia 5300 to be the loudest phone out of the bunch!
I am extremely pleased with my choice of mobile phone as it has not let me down. It is a sleek, sexy, slider phone with all the modern functions you would have come to expect plus a magical music player. The perfect phone for someone looking for a fantastic phone on a budget.
