Sims is one of those computer games that once you start you find it hard to stop. It is the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon stuck indoors and if you are bored with your own life you can create your own peoples lives to either have some fun with, or if you are that way inclined you can make it more like an episode of Eastenders and make their lives full of drama and misery. I already had Sims 1 and all the accompanying expansion packs which was fun in itself but I was very excited to get my hands on Sims 2 and I was not disappointed.
Compared to Sims 1 the graphics are far more life like in terms of character, scenery, homes, interiors, with new bits and piece to buy for your home, new clothing and accessories and new activities too. If you are unfamiliar with the premise of Sims, it's a bit like a role playing game where you can create your customised person/people (the game also has new aspirational features) either in a family, on their own and you can help create their own little world. Sims are moved into accommodation either by buying an already existing property or you purchase your own plot and build your own. You are able to furnish and decorate your house however you like. Having created these virtual people it it your duty to look after them, they have all the normal human attributes, they are able to cook and drink, shop, garden, clean and have a need for health and hygiene. Sims also have romantic inclinations, and new features include a range of new kisses, 'woohoo' in places in other than the bed, and some even have the desire to make a baby and you can watch as your Sim battles morning sickness and her every expanding bump.
It's exciting to watch your Sims grow with age especially with such realism, Sims 2 is a must buy for your Sims collection.
