I'm not usually into these kind of gifts, they seem so feminine, but i have to say, these I Love You Pewter Pebbles were a nice surprise. My wife gave me a kiss and handed me this bag across the dinner table, i remember thinking 'what is this?', probably jewellery, and i remember joking, "money inside??" - not the best of jokes - but anyway, this really was a surprise, i could work out what it was at first. Its only when i saw the words printed on the pebbles that i realised what it was about.
Now i keep um stacked up on my desk at work. The guys think I'm a sissy, bit you know what, they're too good to not display. Our love really is 'written in stone' now!
I couldn't have thought of a better gift, it beats the typical card, roses, choc stuff. This felt more genuine and sweet because it was unique and she'd obviously gone to the effort of trying to find something original and i think its that effort and thought that really counts.
Its nice to know that even after all the years we've spent together we still appreciate each other. Even though some would argue its a very small gift, but sometimes the smaller gifts are the more meaningful ones. If she'd sent 12 x a dozen roses to my work place it still wouldn't have had the impact that these three pebbles have had. The I Love You Pewter Pebbles are small but they are quite heavy and i feel like the weight also gives this present a sense of worth as well.
The great thing about this gift is that it can be given to both partners irrespective of sex. So i wish i had thought of it first because now i'm stuck for a better gift to give her for this valentines day.
