The iPod Touch is incredibly stylish. It is basically the iPhone without the phone, and considering the phone bit of the iPhone is the worst bit about it - the iPod Touch is better value for money. The Touch comes with some great features. Firstly, the email. You can view HTML emails with graphics and photos and Word and excel attachments too. It is all online, just like on a computer.
Google maps is fascinating, You can get directions, find your nearest cafe, station etc or even check what the traffic is like. It's all done by satellite so you'll never get lost again. You can make web clips, so your favourite websites appear on your home screen so you can see your favourite sites in one tap. It is compatible with iTunes and can hold either 8GB or 16GB music/videos/photos etc. You can check stocks, the weather and take notes. You can also browse the internet with Safari and navigating around the web is easy with the touch screen QWERTY keyboard and interface. The internet uses a wireless connection. There is also a direct link to Youtube on the home screen.
The best feature of the iPod Touch is the interface. It is 100% touchscreen, so you pinch and tap your way around it. The screen is 3.5 inch LCD. You can glide your way through artists albums, photos, emails etc using one swift motion with your finger. Simply turn your Touch to switch from widescreen to full screen when watching videos, viewing photos etc.
The Touch is truly gorgeous. It is just as good as the iPhone but without the phone. Until better tariffs are available with the iPhone then you are much better off buying this. It is sheer genius. It is a huge step up from the iPod Classic and I can't wait to see what Apple will do next and when you will be able to buy the 16GB Touch for the same price as the 8GB.
