Liz Earle Cleanse

The Hot Cloth Cleanse & Polish Starter Kit by Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare was first recommended to me by a work colleague (a fellow Liz Earle enthusiast). I needed some hand cream too so I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived really quickly. Each product was beautifully wrapped in tissue paper; it was like getting a Christmas present!

To use, simply squeeze a small amount of cream onto your hands and rub over face and neck in a circular motion. Then wipe away with a muslin cloth (two of these come with the Hot Cloth Starter Kit or they can be purchased separately). The cloth wipes away the cream and impurities and acts as an exfoliator leaving the skin really smooth and soft. The first time I used it I was amazed at how much grime came away with one wipe. Best of all, it won't leave your skin feeling tight like normal soaps and cleansers do and I've never found it to sting my eyes either. I usually follow it up with Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser.

It's packed with loads of natural ingredients such as sweet almond, chamomile, rosemary, cocoa butter and eucalyptus. Some products can smell a bit heavy and flowery but I find the scent to be quite subtle and pleasant. Another great thing about this products is that it hasn't been tested on animals.

It comes in several sizes: a handy travel size 30ml tube, a 100ml or 200ml pump, or a 200ml tube. I prefer to use the pump for ease of use and 100ml lasts me a long time (roughly 66 applications).

This product is by far the cleanser I've used. It's no wonder it won InStyle Magazine's Beauty Award for 2007. If you're like me, once you've tried it, you'll never want to go back to your old brand.
